Items about spoons are referring to "spoon theory". I have an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's, and spoon theory refers to any person with an autoimmune disease or chronic illness who has a limited amount of energy or "spoons". Everything we do takes energy or costs a "spoon", so the idea is to always save a spoon!
